NZFurs Chat forum: Greetings from Canada O..o

Figured I'd post here since I had a sudden revelation, after doing a bunch of research, and that is, I'd like to eventually move to New Zealand for temporary work and see what it's like to live there for a while. I'm not sure if any of you have felt this way before, but lately I've just been feeling as if, by the day, i'm feeling less and less fulfilled. It might be the 8 months of frigid winter, it might be the lack of greenery and rain forests, but I desperately need a change of pace.

I'm a graphic designer/illustrator seriously considering making the transition to NZ for the fact it's very similar to the west coast of Canada, but better. I'd like to be able to grow plants and not have to worry about freezing my nipples off 8 months out of the year, plus I hear there's good snowboarding/skiing.

I've heard that there are a lot of similarities between Canada and NZ, but I wouldn't know. I don't know that much about Canada :D

Personally, I'd wait till September if I was the one moving here. But since you are interested in snowboarding/skiing, you may want to be here anytime after June (when winter starts in NZ).
