Cleaning Sheepskin

Hai :)

I'm wondering if anyone can help me, I have a small sheepskin rug that has become dirty due to my cat kneading on it, and I want to clean it. Does anyone have any idea how to do this without the leather becomming stiff, or ruined etc?
