Herro! @__@ This'd be my first thread on here, so first I'll say herro to everyone on here! ^__^ *gives you all herro cookies* :D

Mmkay, anywayz~ I got XChat for windows, and I'm tryin to connect to the new server for this, bit I have NO idea on how to do it. @__@ I tried adding a new Network, I tried going to Network setup but have no idea what to do there, and the XChat forums don't really help much. ((I'm too lazy to make an account on there and post =/)) What do I do to join this server, or any other server, that isn't on the already-given list?
KyhwanaRe: XChat15-Apr-2008 16:47
icon for Kyhwana Er just type in "/server irc.furnet.org" into the text box then once you're connected do a "/join #nzfurs"

Or you can just click on the link on the top lefthand corner of the main page and xchat should automagically connect.

Well, I tried that. But everytime I do, it searches, I get this:
* Looking up irc.furnet.org
* Connecting to irc.furnet.org (80.190.227.84) port 6667...
* Connection failed. Error: No route to host

I think I'm supposed to change the port number or something, but I have no idea what to. =/

That's.. Odd.
try doing "/server foxtaur.furnet.org" or "/server panther.furnet.org"

Heya Graye ^.^

Have you checked you firewall settings? as they can sometimes stop IRC programs getting access to the internets.

Hope to chat to ya :-)
