I have recently moved the furry.org.nz site to a new host. This web site, furry directory, chat forum, and nzfurry mailing list will continue running. Please let me know if you have problems with the services.
Registration for FurcoNZ 2012 is now open. Get in early to confirm your spot and the entire weekend of furry fun and games will cost you just $99.
Apologies for the site and mailing list dissappearing last week when the old server that hosted furry.org.nz encountered a fatal hardware error.
The good news is we have a shiny new virtual server and all the data has been recovered from the old one, so everything should be back to normal now, and maybe even a bit faster.
Ooops, so I was just reminded I didn't even announce last year's big furry get-together, but we still had a great time with lots of local furs showing up for the party, so this year we're doing it all again. Head over to the FurcoNZ site at http://www.furconz.org.nz/ to find out all about it, and then register yourself.
Desperate to fix that annoying bug, eager to try adding that feature you know is missing from the site, or just curious how it all works? From rev 33, our code is now available under AGPLv3, so you can grab a copy to play with by following the [source] link at the bottom of the page.
Get notified of updates to NZFurry by adding us to your favourite RSS feed reader or your LiveJournal friends page, or whatever.

OK, finally a news update now I've fixed copying of news items to the nzfurry list :)
First, thanks to everyone that's sent feedback and improvement suggestions about the site, we hopefully have things working fairly well now.
Thanks too to all the enthusiastic furs that have added themselves to our directory already.
So, add yourself to the directory if you haven't already, and keep that feedback coming. Use the forum, or the mailing list, or contact us directly.
Finally, the NZFurry 2007 gathering is less than 2 weeks away now. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of you there.
